'Green light': Romano CONFIRMS Liverpool are on the brink of Michael Edwards masterclass
Liverpool are set to see a Michael Edwards plan come to fruition as Fabrizio Romano confirms a deal is getting very close.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Twitter/X on Wednesday that Tottenham Hotspur will push forward on a deal for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke. The striker has given the 'green light' on a move and negotiations are firmly underway.
"Understand Tottenham are pushing to get Dominic Solanke deal done, talks underway with Bournemouth," wrote Romano.

"Solanke has given the green light to Spurs as negotiations are ongoing to find an agreement.
"Tottenham want Solanke, as exclusively revealed last week."
Spurs have been linked consistently with Solanke over the last week or so. They're looking for a new no.9 and appear to have found their man - and that's wonderful news for Liverpool.
Liverpool have Solanke clause
One 'problem' Tottenham have in their negotiations is that Liverpool boast a 20% sell-on clause here. They sold Solanke to Bournemouth for £19m back in 2019 and the profit on that could end up being significant.
The Cherries put a release clause in Solanke's contract and will point to it here. That stands at £65m, meaning £46m profit - and a potential £9m to Liverpool.
Now, Spurs are trying hard not to pay the clause here and if they get their way, the Reds will fall short of the £9m. Still, they appear undeterred by the fact Bournemouth want £65m and there's every chance that they end up paying it.
£65m feels like a fair price for an English striker coming into his prime and moving on the back of a fantastic Premier League season, anyway.
It was a deal struck during Michael Edwards' reign as sporting director and one that is now on the brink of coming to fruition. A masterclass, really, and one that would take Solanke's overall sale to £28m.
Not bad for a player who was struggling to make an impact.
