Liverpool trophy winner is suddenly on the verge of LEAVING the club permanently

Liverpool are on the verge of selling one of their most promising young players permanently. The Reds are cashing in.

DaveOCKOP claims that Bobby Clark is on the verge of a permanent transfer to RB Salzburg. The young midfielder enjoyed a breakthrough at Liverpool last season but it appears he'll move on.

Salzburg offered, according to the same source, around £6m last week to sign Clark. Liverpool rejected that offer, however, and it was subsequently claimed that the Austrian club were considering a transfer-record offer for the player.

That would have put the fee around £11m - so, nearly twice what they originally offered.

But they're not the only ones interested here. Many Championship clubs also reportedly want Clark, though they're looking at loan deals rather than a full-on signing.

Salzburg have other ideas and it's easy to see why. Pep Lijnders took over as manager in the summer and Clark fits the bill ideally as a summer signing.

The club are always looking for players whose value could increase dramatically with the right coaching, which is a box Clark ticks. But he also knows their new manager incredibly well, which is a massive advantage to everyone.

Liverpool to sell Clark?

If Liverpool are ready to accept an offer, we've got to believe there's some sort of buyback clause or large sell-on percentage in the deal. A decent loan would see Clark return as a £20m player - we're already seeing Fabio Carvalho leave in a deal that could be worth £27m.

And that came after a disastrous loan at RB Leipzig last season that appeared to tank his career.

But Liverpool could see this workout in their favour if Clark hits the ground running and thrives under Lijnders. Again, only if Liverpool have a clause in their for the future - but surely that's the case.
