A few Liverpool players including Mohamed Salah gave fans an early indication of how the Reds would line up against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.

While they are not allowed to engage in any form of betting, to fall in line with integrity regulations, players do have access to create their own Fantasy Premier League team, with many including their teammates in their side.

According to FPL Focal, Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota took Jota out of their teams ahead of the fixture, with Conor Bradley also eyeing Darwin Nunez to get his first start of the season.

The deadline for the game was at 11.00am on Saturday, and while this is aimed at making sure no team news can influence players’ decisions on their lineups, it appears the Reds inadvertently leaked who Arne Slot would field against the Cherries.

While it was announced earlier this week that Alisson Becker was set to miss the game, giving Caoimhin Kelleher his first flavour of first-team football this season, it was unlikely that Arne Slot would rotate the team too much.

However, as released by the club ahead of kickoff, Nunez was brought in for Jota, who made the substitutes bench, and Andy Robertson came back in for Kostas Tsimikas after Liverpool’s 3-0 Champions League win at AC Milan on Tuesday.

Meanwhile there was a certain element of intrigue over Slot's midfield options with Curtis Jones the only option in that position on the bench with Tyler Morton and the out-of-favour Wataru Endo not in the matchday squad.

It was rumoured that Jota may opt to focus on the new release of FC25 as a known fan of online games outside of playing for Liverpool, but he was available to be called up if required.
