Liverpool could sell THREE defenders before transfer deadline as Joe Gomez stance REVEALED
Liverpool could be about to lose as many as three centre-backs before the end of the summer transfer window, including Joe Gomez.
It has not been a great summer for Liverpool off the pitch. While on the pitch Arne Slot's side has made a really positive start playing attractive football and achieving great results, off the pitch things have been starkly different.
Currently, Liverpool are the only side in the Premier League yet to make a single transfer with Richard Hughes so far failing to wrap up a deal for Martin Zubimendi and stalling in negotiations for Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Meanwhile, the club could also be about to lose three centre-back options.

Liverpool transfer latest on Joe Gomez and two other centre-backs
The latest high profile Liverpool player who has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer is Joe Gomez. The England international is currently the longest serving player at the club but that might not be the case for much longer.
Several reports have claimed Liverpool are open to listening to offers for Gomez who was omitted from Arne Slot's first matchday squad against Ipswich on Saturday.
The Liverpool ECHO now reports that Aston Villa, Bayern Munich, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Newcastle are all interested in Gomez who could yet have a change of heart but that remains to be seen.
The report also claims that neither Nat Phillips or Sepp van den Berg are viewed as long-term options at the club and both could also be sold this summer.
However, the ECHO adds that Liverpool would only sanction a sale of Gomez if a replacement is lined-up. With the club set to lose Van den Berg and Phillips as well as Gomez - it would leave Arne Slot with just Jarell Quansah, Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate as his only senior centre-back options.
A replacement will be essential but Liverpool are running out of time to find one with less than two weeks to go until the transfer window shuts.
