Liverpool reportedly happy to meet the demands for 19-goal forward

Liverpool could make a move for RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi in the near future, according to Sky Sports, as cited by The Anfield Buzz's Twitter account.

The report states that the Reds are happy to meet Salzburg's demands for the 20-year-old. The story further adds that both Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig are also prepared to do whatever it takes to sign Adeyemi.

The Germany international's contract expires in the summer of 2024. Transfermarkt value Adeyemi at €35 million.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Adeyemi is a fine player. The forward has scored 19 goals and registered four assists in 34 appearances for Salzburg this season.

Adeyemi has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 6.79.

Back in February, Salzburg came up against Bayern Munich in the Champions League knockout stages (first leg of the last-16).

Adeyemi played well against the Bundesliga giants. Pundit Glenn Hoddle was full of praise for the youngster after the match.

"He was the star," Hoddle told BT Sport, as quoted by Metro.

"It was energetic, but energetic with a little bit of thought behind things. I like the fact that he has looked up twice and he’s trying to get the ball on the money.

"He is always looking to go in behind with the ball or without. He has stop start ability, he favours his left but he has got a right as well.

"Give him half a yard and he will turn you. All round, he looks a fabulous player at 20 years of age."

Therefore, we would not be against Liverpool making a move for Adeyemi come the summer.

The forward would be a squad player. The likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Luis Diaz would be ahead of Adeyemi in the pecking order.

But, there is no denying that the Germany international would be a good long-term investment for the club.
