Mohamed Salah could become one of the best-paid players in Liverpool's history if and when his new contract is signed with the club.
The Egyptian forward has had a lot written about him this season and it has been very positive, with many suggesting that he is the best player in world football at the moment.
However, he has also seen plenty of speculation over his future and his current contract written about him, too, which has naturally caught the eye of Reds supporters.
There does appear to be a genuine hope that a deal is going to be reached in the next few weeks, though, and the suggestion is that Liverpool will be breaking the bank to keep the attacker on Merseyside:

Anfield Watch Verdict
This is what it costs to keep world class players at your club these days and Liverpool's owners will be all too aware of the backlash they would get if they did not manage to keep Salah at the club.
It appears that things are going in the right direction with Salah at the moment, and hopefully things remain on track.
Until the ink is dry on the contract, though, no-one will be counting their chickens or getting ahead of themselves.
