Liverpool open the Premier League season - somewhat predictably - at 12.30pm against newly promoted Ipswich Town and fans can stream it live here.

It will be an early morning for fans travelling to Portman Road in East Anglia but for those who could not get a ticket for one of the smaller away allocations in the division the game will be streamed live on TV.

Fans in the UK will need access to TNT Sports to watch the match. TNT has the rights to all 12.30pm Saturday games in the 2024/25 season and will show 52 games in total over the course of the year. That includes Liverpool's opening game of the season, which was the first pick of the channel for the opening weekend.

Fans can get access to TNT Sports via Discovery+. This season it costs £30.99 for a month's pass and it includes access to all TNT games for a month, as well as all Champions League, Europa League and Conference League televised games. You can get a TNT subscription here.

Fans in the US will be able to watch the match on NBC here.

The other matches taking place this weekend that do not kick off at 3pm on Saturday, starting with Manchester United against Fulham on Friday evening, will be shown on Sky Sports.

Liverpool vs Ipswich team news

The match will be the first time Arne Slot manages Liverpool in a competitive game after an encouraging pre season that saw plenty of good football including impressive wins against Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal. There is a sense of intrigue around the Dutch manager, who replaced Liverpool legend Jurgen Klopp in the summer.

Slot has a full Liverpool squad to choose from for the opening game after confirming there were no injuries in the pre-match press conference.

Meanwhile, impressive coach Kieran McKenna has led Ipswich to back-to-back promotions and he has been supported with some interesting new signings in their first season back in the Premier League. They include striker Liam Delap and Hull City centre-back Jacob Greaves, who will both be available to face Liverpool.

Rumoured signings Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City and Sammie Szmodics from Blackburn Rovers will not be available as Ipswich seek to complete the ambitious moves.
