Conor Bradley's perfect response to Ben Chilwell after Carabao Cup win

It's fair to say Conor Bradley had the last laugh when it came to his spat with Chelsea captain Ben Chilwell during Sunday's Carabao Cup final.

The 20-year-old Northern Ireland international, who petrified the Blues during January's 4-1 Premier League win, was at it again at Wembley, causing all sorts of problems down the right-hand side.

Though he started as a right back in the absence of vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold, Bradley was moved into a more advanced role following a tactical rejig necessitated by Ryan Gravenberch substitution.

During one first-half duel with Chilwell, Bradley fell to the floor landing on top of the Chelsea skipper.

The two grappled as they got to their feet, with Chilwell — seven years Bradley's senior — shoving the Liverpool star in the chest not once but twice, before players from both sides rushed in to break up the scrap.

The two players were booked by referee Chris Kavanagh, with many fans left baffled as to why Bradley had been carded for the incident instigated by the Chelsea man.

It wasn't the only time Chilwell appeared to lose his cool in the game, while the left back was eventually subbed in extra time, shortly before the Reds' winner through Virgil van Dijk.

As Chilwell collected his runners-up medal, Bradley's choice of pics in his post-match Instagram post kept the rivalry going, much to the enjoyment of his teammates and fans.

The full back shared an image of himself arms wide, with a look of puzzlement on his face as he stared down an angry Chillwell. He also shared another shot of the two players squaring off among his four chosen photos posted from the match alongside the caption "special club".

His cheeky choice of photos received a lot of love from his teammates as well as supporters with Ibrahima Konate posting a series of laughing emojis alongside the word "YES !!!" in response.

Amazingly, the Carabao Cup final was only Bradley's 17th as a Liverpool player in all competitions.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the win, he said: “I don’t think I can actually put it into words. It’s an incredible feeling and obviously I’ve supported this club since I was about five years old so to now win a trophy with them at Wembley, it’s special and I’m just buzzing.

“Thankfully I wasn’t on at the end because I don’t know if I could have kept my composure! The boys did brilliant and especially the young ones that came on, they showed real heart and they always wanted the ball and they always wanted to make something happen. So, full credit to the boys.”
