Slot addresses absence
Slot said: “He picked up a little injury during the week and missed a couple of sessions, so will not be available to play.”
It is not known how long Jones will be unavailable for but the Dutchman didn't see overly concerned.
If Jones' injury was thought to be lengthy, it would emphasise the need to sign a new midfielder.
According to TEAMtalk, Slot isn't completely convinced by either Wataru Endo OR Curtis Jones in midfield, and wants to add a new player before the end of the window.
Atlanta's Teun Koopminers has been offered to Liverpool, but looks increasingly likely to move to Juventus before the end of the transfer window.
Gravenberch has started the season in great form, but his injury record and the sheer number of games Liverpool are expected to play this season means his workload will need to be managed.
