Liverpool are reportedly interested in an exciting Belgian wonderkid who has been catching the eye recently.

Liverpool are yet to make a transfer this summer with the Reds being the only Premier League side not do so. But that is something the club is working behind the scenes to change, with plenty of interest shown in potential targets.

The latest player to be linked with a move to Liverpool is 19 year-old Gent starlet Matias Fernandez-Pardo, according to journalist Chris Wheatley.

The Reds aren't the only Premier League side interested in securing the winger's signature, with Leicester and Southampton also expressing an appetite in the youngster.

Liverpool are also working on a deal for Giorgi Mamardashvili, with main target Martin Zubimendi rejecting the Reds, but the signing of Fernandez-Pardo would be one that adds even more firepower to an already incredibly dangerous attacking force.

The highly rated forward is represented solely by his father and could be set for a summer exit ahead of the summer window deadline.

Fernandez-Pardo has been impressing in the Belgian Pro League recording nine goals and two assists since the beginning of last campaign.

The Belgian has also performed on the European stage for Gent, finding the back of the net in their UEFA Conference league qualifier against Vikingur.

Fernandez-Pardo's performances have been drawing a lot of attention and is a player certainly to keep an eye for the remainder of the window. An exciting prospect.
