Liverpool have reportedly received no official offer for a 28-year-old

There has been no official interest yet in Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius, according to the Liverpool Echo, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account.

With that being the case, it is highly likely that the 28-year-old will depart Anfield on a free transfer next summer (when his contract expires).

Karius has not played a competitive game of football for Liverpool since the 2018 Champions League final, which took place in Kiev.

The Reds lost the aforementioned final 3-1 to Real Madrid. Karius was at fault for two of the three goals that Liverpool conceded on the night.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Liverpool signed Karius from Mainz for a transfer fee of €6.20 million back in the summer of 2016.

However, the goalkeeper has only made 49 appearances for the club's first-team in his six years at the club.

It is quite clear that Karius does not have a future at Liverpool. It would be nice if the Reds could sell the 28-year-old in January, otherwise he will be available on a free transfer come the summer.
