A Premier League club could make a move for Liverpool centre-back Nathaniel Phillips in January, according to The Evening Standard, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account.
West Ham United are reportedly interested in the 24-year-old. It is apparently believed that the Reds would only sanction a permanent deal in January.
Liverpool's asking price for Phillips is reportedly around £10 million.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Phillips is a decent player. The centre-back averaged a WhoScored player rating of 7.29 across 17 Premier League fixtures for Liverpool last season.
The aforementioned figures highlight that Phillips is capable of playing at the highest level. However, the 24-year-old was only given an opportunity to play for the Reds' first-team on a regular basis last season due to injuries.
Now that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has close to a full squad to pick from, Phillips has hardly played for the Reds in the early parts of the 2021-22 campaign.
The defender has only made four appearances for Liverpool. Therefore, we would not be against Phillips and the club parting ways in January.
