Liverpool have asked Atletico Madrid about forward Joao Felix, according to Cadena SER, as cited by LFC Transfer Room's Twitter account.

The report states that the La Liga club are open to selling the 22-year-old. The report further adds that Felix could depart the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in January.

However, Atletico Madrid will need to receive a sizeable offer for that to occur. Felix's contract expires at the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign.

Transfermarkt value the Portugal international at €70 million.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Felix is a decent footballer. The forward has scored 20 goals and registered 11 assists in 89 appearances for Atletico Madrid.

Felix also registered a WhoScored player rating of 6.73 across the 2020-21 La Liga campaign.

The aforementioned figures highlight that the 22-year-old possesses potential. Therefore, we would not be against Liverpool making a move for Felix in the near future.

There is no denying that the youngster would add depth and quality to the club's forward line.
