Alisson RETURNS to face Crystal Palace in HUGE Liverpool injury boost

Liverpool have been handed a mammoth injury boost ahead of their Sunday afternoon clash with Crystal Palace.

First-choice shot-stopper Alisson Becker has made his return from injury to start in between the sticks, making his first start for the Reds since February 4.

He replaces Caoimhin Kelleher in net, who has vastly exceeded expectations during his time in the side as Alisson's understudy.

Alisson starts behind a back four of Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson, with Trent Alexander-Arnold also making a return to the side from injury, albeit on the bench.

Joe Gomez is dropped to the substitutes after midweek's humiliation at the hands of Atalanta, but in an unchanged midfield three, Wataru Endo is joined by Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones.

Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz return to the starting XI after missing out on a starting berth in the Europa League, joined Darwin Nunez up top.

After months of seeing nothing but academy prospects lining the bench, Liverpool's dugout looks unrecognisably stacked going into the Palace contest.

The likes of Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo, Harvey Elliott, Diogo Jota and Jarell Quansah all help make up the numbers as Reds substitutes, offering backup firepower and senior options that have been lacking in recent times.
