Liverpool fixtures: the Reds' next five games after Brighton draw

Liverpool head into the next international break unable to avenge the injustices of the Tottenham defeat with a return to winning ways at Brighton.

Despite coming from a goal down to lead 2-1 at the Amex Stadium on Sunday, Liverpool had to settle for a hard-fought draw, with Lewis Dunk's header ensuring the points were shared.

Though they've failed to win in each of their last two outings, Reds still sit just three points off the top of the Premier League table and will be eager to get stuck back into the thick of the action once national team duties are out the way.

Here's what awaits Liverpool in their next five fixtures, following the international break.

LIVERPOOL VS EVERTON – PREMIER LEAGUE

Liverpool have 13 days between the draw at Brighton and their next game: first Merseyside Derby of 2023/24.

Everton beat Bournemouth 3-0 last time out but have been in poor form generally of late, while the Toffees have only won one of the last 28 clashes with Liverpool in all competitions.

It is hoped that this fixture will mark the first time Liverpool have Anfield at full capacity following the delayed expansion work.

Liverpool vs Toulouse – EUROPA LEAGUE

After the derby, the Reds get a change of pace with the return of Europa League action.

Toulouse currently sit 11th in France's Ligue 1, and the last time these two back in 2007, Liverpool won 4-0.

Expect plenty of rotation and a chance for the likes of Ben Doak and Jarell Quansah to strut their stuff once again as Klopp seeks three European wins on the bounce.

Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest – PREMIER LEAGUE

Liverpool's final Premier League game of October sees them play host to Nottingham Forest, currently 13th in the table under former Reds youth coach Steve Cooper.

Another ex-Liverpool man, Taiwo Awoniyi, scored the only goal when these two met at the City Ground last season, while Klopp's men came out victorious in a 3-2 thriller at Anfield back in April.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool – Carabao Cup

The Reds start November with a chance to reach the Carabao Cup quarter finals with a trip to Bournemouth.

Liverpool saw off the Cherries 3-1 already this season back in August and Andoni Iraola's side are on a terrible run, without a win in the Premier League yet in 2023/24.

Lifting a tenth League Cup may not be the priority for Klopp and co this season, but it will become a welcome opportunity, if they are still in the draw for the final eight.

Luton Town vs Liverpool – Premier League

Liverpool's first Premier League fixture of November sees them travel to the much mythologised Kenilworth Road for the first time since 2008.

Luton have struggled with the step up to the Premier League since their promotion, but currently sit outside the relegation zone on four points.

The last time these two met in a league game was back in 1992, with the Reds running out 2-1 winners.
