Former German international Matthias Sammer has praised Reds boss Jurgen Klopp for what he has achieved at Anfield.

Speaking to SportBILD, as cited by Sport Witness, the former Borussia Dortmund manager said that people can't overestimate what Klopp has done for Liverpool and Germany.

"First of all, you can’t overestimate what Jurgen Klopp is doing for Liverpool and, as a German coach, for the image of German soccer.

"That can make us all proud. Klopp can always reinvent himself with Liverpool; he is constantly looking for new building blocks, also in his coaching and support staff, to further improve the quality."

Sammer continued by saying that what sets Klopp apart from other managers is his willingness to work with specialists to give his side marginal improvements that other teams wouldn't even consider.

"The fact that a strong leader like Jurgen Klopp gathers top specialists around him for the perfect result cannot be credited to him highly enough."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Since his time at Liverpool, Klopp has been at the forefront of revolutionising modern-day football.

He was the one who suggested that Liverpool move out of Melwood to a new state of the art training facility in Kirkby. While doing their research, Klopp travelled to the two Red Bull clubs, Salzburg and Leipzig, with Michael Edwards to get inspiration for the AXA Training centre.

The German has also hired throw-in and set-piece specialists to give Liverpool an extra advantage against their opponents, something that other top clubs are now deciding to implement.

More recently, Klopp was criticised for bringing in Neuro 11, a scientific company that helps athletes reach their peak mental state while playing.

Before the 2022 League Cup and FA Cup finals, Neuro 11 had already decided the penalty order and had given advice to each individual player, meaning that Klopp and his coaching staff could focus on other things prior to the shootouts.

This clearly gave the Reds an advantage over Thomas Tuchel's side in both finals as Liverpool walked away with two trophies.

Thankfully Klopp is revolutionising football at Liverpool and not another club!
