'You better win all your games' - Jurgen Klopp discusses Liverpool's title ambitions

Jurgen Klopp has suggested Liverpool need to win all their games this season if they hope to beat Manchester City to the Premier League title.

The Reds hammered a woeful but expensive Chelsea side 4-1 on Wednesday night to restore their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, goals from Diogo Jota, Conor Bradley, Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz helping Klopp's men to victory.

However, Liverpool's most likely competitors for the title, Man City and Arsenal, both won midweek, with the former also having a game in hand that could cut the Reds' lead at the top to just two points.

With a trip to Arsenal this Sunday, defeat would also allow the Gunners back into the title picture, while a draw would probably be the best possible outcome for Man City.

When asked about Liverpool's title ambitions ahead of the trip to the Emirates Stadium, Klopp admitted that his side will need to be pretty much perfect to be crowned champions at the end of the campaign.

"What we learned over the years if you want to be around City, you better win all your games," said Klopp. "This is the league, this is the time City are dominating. They play incredible stuff and would probably consider themselves to not be playing their best season.

"We have a really good season and a few points ahead. They are having an okay season and are a few points behind, that's really interesting.

"Arsenal, [if] they beat us, they are definitely there. There are so many games to come. We so often judge in the moment. You can lose all these games, you can win them as well. You can lose players in key moments.

"We will try to make it as hard as possible. Let's see if we can do it."

If Liverpool manage to beat Arsenal on Sunday, it would send a powerful message to Man City heading into the final months of the season. The Reds also have the advantage of welcoming Pep Guardiola's side to Anfield later this term after securing a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at the Etihad.

With Klopp calling time on his Anfield career at the end of the season, there's even more pressure on the Liverpool players to deliver him a deserved second Premier League title.
