'Worth every penny': Some Reds react to performance of player against Atletico

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson was absolutely superb against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium last night.

Without the Brazilian, the Reds would not have secured a 3-2 victory over the La Liga side.

Alisson made some big saves throughout the Champions League group stage fixture. With that being the case, the 29-year-old was named the UEFA Man of the Match.

As you can see below, some Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to praise Alisson for his performance against Atletico Madrid.

Alisson is a superb goalkeeper. Back in February 2021, former Manchester United defender Gary Neville labelled the shot-stopper as "world-class", which backs up our argument.

Therefore, we weren't shocked to see Alisson perform so well against Atletico Madrid. The Brazilian has had a solid start to the 2021-22 campaign.

Alisson is averaging a WhoScored player rating of 6.85 across the Premier League and Champions League.

If Liverpool are to win any silverware this season, it is vital that the 29-year-old continues to perform.
