"World-class player" - Kostas Tsimikas on Andy Robertson
Liverpool full-back Kostas Tsimikas has praised teammate Andy Robertson.
Back in the summer of 2017, the Reds signed the left-back from Hull City for a transfer fee of €9 million.
Since then, Robertson has scored eight goals and registered 55 assists in 232 appearances for Liverpool's first-team.
The Scotland international has also won seven pieces of silverware with the Reds. In other words, Robertson has been a very solid player for Liverpool over the years.
Tsimikas had the following to say about his teammate.
"Andy is a very good person - he is a world-class player. He is always there for me to help me and show me what I can do better," he told the Liverpool Echo, as quoted by Anfield Watch on Twitter.
"I help him when I am on the bench, watching the game from outside. He is a good guy, we spend time together."
Anfield Watch Verdict
Robertson is a role model for aspiring footballers. Nothing was ever given to the Scotland international. Robertson has had to work hard throughout his career.
The 28-year-old is contracted until the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign. So, the Anfield faithful will be able to sit back and watch Robertson represent the club for at least a few more years.
The left-back will miss tonight's Champions League group stage clash against Rangers at Anfield due to an injury.
Hopefully we see Robertson back in action sooner rather than later.
