Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has given his verdict on Luis Diaz's performance against Crystal Palace at Anfield last night.

The winger was exceptional against the Eagles. Diaz scored a superb goal from just outside the penalty area and he was energetic all night.

The Colombia international registered a WhoScored player rating of 8.84 for his 90-minute display against Crystal Palace.

With that being the case, Klopp praised Diaz post-game.

As quoted by Anfield Watch on Twitter, he told The Athletic the following: “World-class, a wonderful goal. And from that moment on it was a special game. That was us at home with an incredible atmosphere.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

Liverpool signed Diaz from Porto for a transfer fee of ÂŁ42.30 million back in January.

Since then, the winger has gone on to score seven goals and register five assists in 29 appearances for the club's first-team.

In other words, Diaz has been a superb signing for Liverpool. The 25-year-old is contracted until the conclusion of the 2026-27 campaign.

Therefore, the Anfeld faithful will be able to sit back and watch Diaz do his thing for many more years to come.

The Colombia international still has plenty of room left for improvement. Diaz could become more clinical in front of goal.

But, due to the winger's age, we are confident that he can take his game to another level in the coming years.

We wish Diaz all the very best for this season and beyond. Hopefully he can stay fit and help Liverpool secure a trophy or two.
