Liverpool will seek to book their place in the FA Cup semi-finals this afternoon as they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.

They'll hope to join Coventry City, Manchester City and Chelsea in the final four, setting up a Wembley showpiece for the weekend of April 20.

Liverpool haven't found much trouble in the cup so far. After dispatching Arsenal in an enthralling third round encounter, they made light work of Championship outfits Norwich City and Southampton to reach the quarter-finals.

Standing in their way today will be a Manchester United side hellbent on getting one over on their North West rivals, with the FA Cup acting as their only remaining opportunity for silverware this campaign.

If the Reds do manage to progress to the semis after today's mammoth clash in Manchester, they won't have to wait long to discover their next opponents.

The draw is set to occur today, Sunday 17 March, and will take place approximately 15 minutes after the final whistle in ITV1’s post-match coverage of Manchester United against Liverpool.

If the game is decided over 90 minutes, it will start at approximately 5:40pm - while extra-time and penalties will ensure the draw starts after 6:30pm.

Liverpool or Manchester United will be Ball 2 in the draw, with Coventry acting as Ball 1, Chelsea acting as Ball 3 and Manchester City acting as Ball 4.

The draw can be caught on ITV1 or ITVX.
