Journalist Dean Jones has revealed that West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is open to a move to Liverpool Football Club.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the England international in recent times. West Ham United reportedly want £150 million for Rice.

According to Jones, the 23-year-old is not against making the move to Anfield.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he said: "You can't rule out a transfer like that. Chelsea still makes the most sense in many ways for Declan Rice, but he is willing to move north. I've been told that before, so I don't think that's going to be a problem in terms that he would only want to stay in London."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Rice is a fine talent. The midfielder has made 207 appearances for West Ham United's first-team.

Rice has averaged a WhoScored player rating of 6.91 in the early stages of the 2022-23 Premier League campaign.

The aforementioned figures highlight that the 23-year-old is a reliable player. With Fabinho ageing (28), it would not be the worst idea for the club to bring in a young holding midfielder.

However, we don't believe that Rice is worth £150 million. Unless West Ham United's asking price is lowered, Liverpool should stay clear.

Rice is contracted until the conclusion of the 2023-24 campaign, so a free transfer is off the table for the time being.
