West Ham United man reportedly open to Liverpool move
Journalist Dean Jones has revealed that West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is open to a move to Liverpool Football Club.
The Reds have been linked with a move for the England international in recent times. West Ham United reportedly want ÂŁ150 million for Rice.
According to Jones, the 23-year-old is not against making the move to Anfield.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he said: "You can't rule out a transfer like that. Chelsea still makes the most sense in many ways for Declan Rice, but he is willing to move north. I've been told that before, so I don't think that's going to be a problem in terms that he would only want to stay in London."
Anfield Watch Verdict
Rice is a fine talent. The midfielder has made 207 appearances for West Ham United's first-team.
Rice has averaged a WhoScored player rating of 6.91 in the early stages of the 2022-23 Premier League campaign.
The aforementioned figures highlight that the 23-year-old is a reliable player. With Fabinho ageing (28), it would not be the worst idea for the club to bring in a young holding midfielder.
However, we don't believe that Rice is worth ÂŁ150 million. Unless West Ham United's asking price is lowered, Liverpool should stay clear.
Rice is contracted until the conclusion of the 2023-24 campaign, so a free transfer is off the table for the time being.
