West Ham make proposal for Liverpool-linked Andre
West Ham have entered the race for coveted Brazilian talent Andre Trindade.
The 22-year-old midfielder was heavily linked with Liverpool earlier this month, while the Reds saw an offer knocked back by Fluminense, despite reportedly agreeing personal terms.
The Brazilian side have stood firm on their insistence that Andre will not be sold this summer, as they seek Copa Libertadores glory. Having never won South America's equivalent of the Champions League, Fluminense – understandably – don't wish to derail their campaign with the sale of a key player.
Though they are willing to do business in January, Anfield Watch understands that Liverpool are unlikely to return with a bid in the winter window.

Football Transfers now reports that West Ham could be willing to wait until the next transfer window to sign Andre and have send a 'provisional offer' to Fluminense. It is reported that personal terms are not expected to be a problem.
Though West Ham's offer is not known, it is said that Fluminense would be willing to agree a deal for around £21.5m, including add-ons. A figure in that region would represent a club-record sale.
In addition to Liverpool and West Ham, Fulham have also been linked with Andre.
Speaking recently about his future, the one-cap Brazil star said: "Obviously it's normal to receive offers. Even more so when the team is doing well, qualifying from the Copa Libertadores, and at the top of the league. Others must have got them as well.
"I'm happy to get those proposals, but today, my mind is 100% focused on Fluminense."
Fluminense play the second leg of their Copa Libertadores quarter final against Olimpia on Friday, having won the first leg 2-0.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are pushing to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich before the transfer deadline passes at 23:00 BST on Friday.
It is understood that Bayern are willing to sanction a sale, with the clubs now in talks over a fee.
