West Ham handed MASSIVE injury boost ahead of Liverpool clash

West Ham United have received an enormous injury boost ahead of Liverpool's visit to the London Stadium this Saturday, with David Moyes confirming the return of Jarrod Bowen.

Liverpool have very little to play for in the coming weeks after recent slip-ups but they will want to send Jurgen Klopp off with the best farewell possible, and a response is needed against the Irons this weekend.

The Reds have beaten West Ham twice already this season but both of those victories came at Anfield, with an away trip proving a trickier proposition.

Liverpool's form suggests it may be a difficult afternoon and things have got that little bit harder for Klopp's side with Bowen set to be available after a recent injury.

Bowen missed the 5-2 defeat to Crystal Palace with a back problem, but is set to return this weekend having already scored in both meetings with Liverpool this season.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Moyes stated: "Jarrod Bowen is back training so there’s a good chance he’ll be available. We’ll still need to monitor him.

"We have a couple of issues with centre-halves. Nayef [Aguerd] is not available. [Konstantinos] Mavropanos has a chance, but we’ll have to see how he is."

Bowen has 15 goals and five assists in the Premier League this term and is a player that Klopp has heaped praise on in the past. He is sure to make a fragile Liverpool backline nervy in the capital.

Liverpool only have a handful of injury concerns ahead of the trip to West Ham, but the good news is that Cody Gakpo is available for the Reds.

Klopp confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the Dutch forward is back in training after missing the Everton clash due to his partner going into labour.

Diogo Jota and Conor Bradley are still out for the Reds, with Klopp stating that they're not yet available to feature due to short-term injury concerns. Ben Doak, Thiago and Joel Matip are also missing.
