Alisson Becker has received a fifth Premier League Save of the Month nomination in a row. This man isn't nominated for the FIFPro World XI.

Alisson Becker is once again up for the Premier League Save of the Month award. The Liverpool goalkeeper has, quite incredibly, received a nomination for every month of the season so far.

His effort to keep out Jefferson Lerma against Crystal Palace got him the nod this time around. Palace worked a brilliant ball across the box that found Lerma at the back post - Alisson was somehow able to keep up with things and get across to keep it out, though.

Though he's had four previous nominations, Alisson has only won the award once this season. That came in August against Newcastle United as the Brazilian produced a miraculous save to tip Miguel Almiron's volley onto the bar.

Somehow, Alisson didn't receive a FIFPro World XI nomination for 2023, nor was he up for goalkeeper of the year. That's despite moments like this that have seen him pick up Save of the Month nominations in the Premier League every time.

Of course, these are just individual moments and not evidence of being a consistently great goalkeeper. Only, Alisson also boasts the best save percentage in the Premier League and his more advanced stats are excellent, too.

It's a little strange but Liverpool as a whole appear to have been hurt by their lack of Champions League football in the year-end awards. Virgil van Dijk was the sole Red to get a World XI nomination, meaning Mohamed Salah somehow avoided one despite a sensational 2023.

Liverpool are back on track now, though, as they top the Premier League after 20 games and remain in all four competitions for the season. The way things are going, the awards for 2024 could look very different.
