Virgil van Dijk talks up title race as Liverpool try to catch Man City

Virgil van Dijk has said that there is still a long way to go in the title race this season in the Premier League and that anything can happen.

Liverpool are trying to rope in Manchester City at the top of the tree with them currently nine points off of top spot with a game in hand.

A trip to the Etihad is still to come before the end of the season, meanwhile, and so there's still plenty to unfurl in the coming months.

This is the sort of thought process Liverpool need to have.

Injuries or poor form can still strike and the Reds need to be as prepared as possible to try and close the gap when the chance comes.

It will be tough, of course, but there is no point just giving up because of that.
