Liverpool players Jordan Henderson, Alisson and Thiago Alcantara have returned to training.

The 2021-22 campaign only concluded at the backend of May, which means that the players are currently on their break.

But, that has not stopped Henderson, Alisson and Thiago getting back into the swing of things.

Footage of the aforementioned players training can be viewed below.

Anfield Watch Verdict

We are not remotely surprised to see Henderson back in training. The midfielder is the club captain for a reason.

Henderson has always been a hard worker. Former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry has implied in the past that the England international's work rate is his greatest quality.

As quoted by The Daily Mail, he told Amazon Prime the following back in December 2021: "He reminds me of Gareth Barry, James Milner. I remember when he started I didn't think he was going to be the player that he is.

"He's not the guy you mention first when you talk about Liverpool. But I do and I do with some young kids.

"You can't all be Mohamed Salah, you can't all be (Lionel) Messi but if you work hard, work ethic and your mind is in it and you are professional you can become Henderson and become the guy who lifts the trophy.

"Obviously for a long time Liverpool was waiting for that Premier League trophy - he was the guy.

"Liverpool winning the Champions League - he was lifting it and I know not a lot of people will mention him but this is the guy you can try to copy.

"It's difficult to copy Mohamed Salah, it's difficult to copy those guys and people talk about those guys but I'm a massive fan of him."

Henderson, 32, is coming off a decent season. He averaged a WhoScored player rating of 6.78 across the 2021-22 campaign.

Henderson is contracted until the conclusion of the 2024-25 season. Therefore, the Anfield faithful will be able to sit back and watch the midfielder represent Liverpool for at least a few more years.
