Video: Steven Gerrard's hostile return to Old Trafford

Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa side came up against Manchester United at Old Trafford last night.

Before the aforementioned third round FA Cup clash kicked off, the former Red was jeered by the home crowd.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Liverpool and Manchester United are big rivals, so we weren't surprised that Gerrard was booed by the Red Devils supporters last night.

The Scouser was also a top player for the Reds. Gerrard scored 186 goals and registered 150 assists in 710 appearances for Liverpool.

The 41-year-old also won nine major trophies with the club. Therefore, the Manchester United faithful are naturally going to dislike Gerrard more than most current and former Liverpool players.
