Video: Pep Lijnders provides injury update on Thiago Alcantara
Liverpool assistant coach Pep Lijnders has provided an injury update on Reds midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
The Spaniard suffered a calf injury back in mid-September. Thiago has missed Liverpool's last nine games.
However, Lijnders has claimed that the 30-year-old will make a return to team training later this week.
We are delighted that Thiago is on the mend. The midfielder is a superb footballer after all.
Thiago averaged a WhoScored player rating of 7.12 across the 2020-21 Premier League campaign, which backs up the aforementioned argument.
