Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that forward Roberto Firmino picked up a hamstring injury against Atletico Madrid at Anfield last night.

The Brazil international did not start for the Reds in the aforementioned Champions League group stage clash. However, Firmino did replace Sadio Mane out on the pitch at the beginning of the second half.

But, the 30-year-old was then substituted 78 minutes into the clash due to a hamstring injury.

Firmino has been solid for Liverpool this season. The striker has scored six goals and registered one assist in 11 appearances.

Therefore, hopefully Firmino's hamstring injury is not too serious.
