Former Liverpool winger Maxi Rodriguez has announced his retirement from professional football.

With that being the case, Reds captain Jordan Henderson has decided to send the 40-year-old a heartwarming message.

The Englishman and Rodriguez were part of Kenny Dalglish’s 2012 League Cup winning side.

Henderson said that it was a pleasure to play alongside the Argentine and wished him all the very best for the future.

Rodriguez was a decent player for Liverpool. Between 2010-12, the winger scored 17 goals and registered seven assists in 73 appearances.
