Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has opened up on the eye injury that he suffered back in October.

The 20-year-old said that he felt he could train and play during the time that he was recovering.

However, Jones further added that the doctors made it clear that he could only complete light exercise.

The Scouser's first senior game back after the injury came against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier this month.

Jones came on as a second-half substitute in the aforementioned Premier League fixture.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Jones has had a decent start to his Liverpool senior career.

The midfielder has found the back of the net eight times and registered nine assists in 58 appearances.

We are delighted that Jones is now fit and available for selection again. It is never nice seeing a Liverpool player sitting on the sidelines due to an injury.

Hopefully Jones can finish the season strongly.
