Video: A look back on Diogo Jota’s winner against West Ham
The 20/21 season was full of moments to forget, but that does not mean we didn’t get to enjoy positive moment such as Liverpool’s 2-1 win over West Ham as goals from Mohamed Salah and a late strike from Diogo Jota cancelled out Pablo Fornals’ opener on the 10 minute mark.
Jota’s goal was particularly impressive, with Xherdan Shaqiri playing a crucial part, putting the ball on a plate for the former Wolves man to smash home to secure the three points.
The win came at a time in the season when were not in desperation mode; when three points still felt like an assured guarantee. As we know by now, months later, things began to go downhill for the Reds before top four was eventually salvaged in the final stages of a season full of ups and many downs.
