Back in the summer of 2007, Liverpool signed striker Fernando Torres from Atletico Madrid for a transfer fee of £20.2 million.

The Spaniard went on to score 81 goals and register 16 assists in 142 appearances for the club's first-team.

You can watch some of Torres' Liverpool highlights in the footage below. The video is property of LFC TV.

Anfield Watch Verdict

It was a shame that Torres did not represent the club for a little longer. We enjoyed watching the striker play.

Torres could score all types of goals, which made him a valuable member of any team that he represented.

The 37-year-old retired from professional football back in 2019.
