Virgil van Dijk is making big moves internationally as speculation with regards to his long-term future at Liverpool rumbles on.

As revealed across various social media platforms, the Dutch defender has linked up with linked up with Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre in a new advert for their Gin & Juice drink.

Gin & Juice, a range of gin-based cocktail cans, was launched in the US earlier this year, with the name based on Snoop Dogg’s 1994 iconic hit and it was van Dijk who got the call to help with the London launch.

As seen in the video clip below, the Liverpool captain spots a car across the street which features a hydraulic system, allowing the car's riding level to hop up and down - something synonymous with Snoop - with 'Gin & Juice' blasting from the speakers, before stopping to take a phone call.

Upon answering Snoop's call, the legendary American rapper, who has featured heavily on NBC's coverage of this summer's Olympic Games, says "we've arrived" as van Dijk then pulls the drink out of his bag and delivers his seal of approval.

This development is further indication that van Dijk has made a breakthrough in the United States.

After all, earlier in the summer he was invited to attend the UK launch of Snoop and Dre's 'Gin & Juice' drink, where he was spotted in attendance alongside Basketball legend LeBron James, who is a part owner of Liverpool through his investment in owners Fenway Sports Group.

In fact, the 33-year-old - having modelled at the launch of James' new fashion line 'LFC x LeBron' earlier in the year - has gone on record stating how he is learning from the NBA star.

"I look at all the top athletes because I feel they all have a big role, either as a role model or for their team and community, and there are so many things you can learn," he said, as per the Mirror.

"There’s LeBron, Djokovic, Roger Federer, Tom Brady - I could name so many.

"I like to listen to these guys and learn how they dealt with being at the top and dealing with difficult moments, but also good moments."

Already regarded as one of the best football players in the world, a role in an advert promoting Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre's 'Gin and Juice' drink shows van Dijk's popularity is now at a global stage.
