The three signs pointing towards Trent Alexander-Arnold STAYING at Liverpool
There are signs Trent Alexander-Arnold could stay at Liverpool despite Real Madrid's heavy interest.
The right-back has a contract that expires at the end of the season. He still hasn't extended, but Liverpool still haven't given up hope.

Real Madrid seem to be pretty confident that Alexander-Arnold will be joining the club. However, it's not set in stone. There has been no official confirmation nor any suggestions from Alexander-Arnold's side that this is the case.
Everything is very much up in the air and until that is the case, Liverpool have hope.
Over the last few days, there has been more and more signs pointing towards Alexander-Arnold staying at the club. Hints that he could indeed have a change of heart.

The first was an Instagram story from his brother, Marcell.
After Liverpool's title celebrations, he posted a story with his brother on Instagram. The song selection he made for that post was very interesting.
It was the song 30 for 30 Freestyle by Drake. The lyrics highlighted on the story included: 'Banners are ready in case we need to retire your jersey.'
Understandably this is a cryptic post. But there is a positive interpretation of it. Talking about retiring Alexander-Arnold's jersey can only be a good sign for Liverpool.
Surely, in order to do that, Alexander-Arnold would stay and achieve more at the club. This at the very least is a promising sign.
Then there was something even more encouraging. Linda Pizzuti Henry, the wife of John Henry made an Instagram post to celebrate Liverpool's 20th league title.
In that post she chose to include a picture of John Henry with Trent Alexander-Arnold. A fan commented under the post:
'Just throwing in that Trent photo.'
To which Pizzuti replied with the 'eye emoji.'
Again it's a cryptic post but it's another sign pointing towards Alexander-Arnold staying at the club. Surely Pizzuti would not be toying with our emotions if it was otherwise.
Or if at least she didn't have hopes that Alexander-Arnold could indeed stay.
Lastly, it was James Pearce speaking on The Athletic's daily podcast. In the conversation Pearce suggested the door to staying at the club was still open for Alexander-Arnold.
“It's long since been the case that we're expecting him [Alexander-Arnold] to join Real Madrid, but of course, until absolutely everything is finalised, that door is just slightly ajar," Pearce said.
The slightly ajar is a word Liverpool fans can cling to. Because it's a changing from the wording. Reporters have claimed that Alexander-Arnold is destined for Real Madrid.
Now the door to stay at Liverpool seems to be opening. That's the suggestion of optimism.

In the end, he may well end up at Real Madrid. But there is at least still a little bit of hope left that he could stay after all.
