Trent Alexander-Arnold has signed a lucrative multi-year deal with Adidas, making him one of the highest paid players in Europe for a boot deal.

The Athletic report that Alexander-Arnold has been made one of the faces of the next generation of Adidas Predator boots, joining the likes of Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Barcelona’s Pedri.

The deal is reportedly worth £26m, and will bring Alexander-Arnold his own signature range with Adidas that could provide further royalties for the England star.

In a promotional video, Alexander-Arnold explained that he always wore Adidas boots as a youngster and was inspired by Liverpool's incredible triumph in the 2005 Champions League final - where Steven Gerrard, who also wore Predator boots, spearheaded the Reds to a miraculous comeback against AC Milan.

The decision to join up with Adidas came after positive discussions with the German company, where they detailed their plans for him.

Adidas regard it as a major coup given the player’s global profile and huge commercial appeal.

The newfound partnership brings an end to the Liverpool defender's long-standing relationship with Under Armour, with whom he first linked up in 2017.

Alexander-Arnold's footwear caught the eye of many during Saturday's clash between Liverpool and Manchester City, where he was repping a pair of unreleased Predator boots.

They clearly did the trick for the England star, with Alexander-Arnold firing home Liverpool's equaliser 10 minutes from time to salvage a point for his side.
