Trent Alexander-Arnold shares first thoughts on Conor Bradley replacing him

Trent Alexander-Arnold has shared his first impression of Conor Bradley replacing him as Liverpool's right-back. The Scouser has been out injured.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has had to watch the last month of football from the sidelines after picking up a knock against Arsenal. He's now back, of course, and as it turned out, the Reds coped very well without their star right-back.

Alexander-Arnold is no ordinary right-back, either. He's Liverpool's most creative player and the one they turn to in order to break teams down.

Jurgen Klopp was without a natural replacement, too, especially with Joe Gomez covering at left-back. Instead, he had to turn to Conor Bradley.

Bradley excelled on loan at Bolton Wanderers last season but stepping up to the Premier League is something else entirely. Still, the Reds backed the youngster - and were right to do so.

Bradley has been fantastic, rapidly establishing himself as a proper member of the first-team squad. His two assists and goal against Chelsea in midweek repesented his true arrival - here's a player who can influence massive games in the Premier League.

Alexander-Arnold was asked this week to give his impression of Liverpool and Bradley in his absence. The vice-captain returned to one work - outstanding.

"Outstanding!" he told LFCTV. "Great games. It's one of those where you hope that when you're out that the lads keep the form up and keep up the momentum that I was part of.

"That's all you can hope [for] and I think the lads, especially Conor as well, the performances he and the team have put in have been outstanding and kept that momentum up and kept our run going."

I'll be interesting to see what Klopp does from here because Bradley has absolutely earned the right to play regularly. That opens the door for Alexander-Arnold to play in midfield more often - something that has looked great over the last 12 months.

Whatever Klopp decides, he now has two 'outstanding' options at right-back. Quite the legacy to leave.
