Reporter Dean Jones has confirmed that Liverpool are planning on making a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

It has been reported that the Bundesliga club are reluctant to sell the England international this transfer window.

With that being the case, the Reds are prepared to wait until next summer to sign Bellingham, according to Jones.

“The players that Liverpool would look to sign in that position (midfield) aren’t really available," he told The Done Deal Show (1:00:30).

"Jude Bellingham would be the one they really want in this area of the field.

"There’s no doubt that they are waiting for Bellingham’s situation to open up and that is not happening at the moment and because of that, Jurgen Klopp is going to be patient and wait for that to happen unless he’s presented with something that’s too good to turn down in the final days of the window."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Bellingham is a very talented player. The midfielder found the back of the net six times and registered 14 assists in 44 appearances for Borussia Dortmund's first-team last season.

Bellingham averaged a WhoScored player rating of 7.12 across the 2021-22 Bundesliga campaign.

Also, it is important to note that the England international is only 19 years of age.

So, Bellingham still has plenty of room left for improvement, which is a positive thing. Hopefully the club and the midfielder cross paths at some stage. Bellingham would be a superb signing for the club.

But, only time will tell if that is to be the case.
