"Their time is up at the club" - Pundit predicts that two players will depart Liverpool
Pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has recently given his opinion on both Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino.
The former Aston Villa forward believes that neither player is good enough to represent Liverpool anymore.
Agbonlahor made it clear that both Origi and Minamino have been pushed further down the pecking order with the arrival of Luis Diaz.
After Liverpool confirmed the signing of Diaz, the 35-year-old told Football Insider the following: “They probably are looking at life after Mo Salah and Sadio Mane do go.
“But Liverpool have probably looked at Man City who have [Riyad] Mahrez, [Gabriel] Jesus, [Jack] Grealish, [Raheem] Sterling, [Phil] Foden so why should they only have three top attackers? Why can’t they have four or five?
“That’s what they’ve got. They’ve got Mane, Salah, [Diogo] Jota, [Roberto] Firmino, Diaz and that’s what they need.
“They are in a lot of competitions still. It’s going to give [Jurgen] Klopp a chance to rotate with better quality.
“Origi and Minamino are not good enough. For me, their time is up at the club, goodbye.
“It’s a great move for Liverpool.”
Anfield Watch Verdict
We do agree with Agbonlahor that both Origi and Minamino have been pushed further down the pecking order as a result of Diaz's arrival.
Therefore, it would make sense for both players to seek a move away from the club come the summer.
Origi has been a good player for Liverpool at times. The 26-year-old has scored 40 goals and registered 16 assists in 167 appearances for the club's first-team.
Minamino on the other hand has struggled for the Reds. The 27-year-old has found the back of the net 10 times and registered three assists in 49 appearances for the club's first-team.
Both Origi and Minamino are more than capable, which is why they have been representing Liverpool in recent years.
With that being the case, we do expect the aforementioned players to not be short of offers if the club does put them up for sale in the summer.
