"The most unpredictable" - Pundit speaks about Liverpool forward
Pundit Tony Cascarino has given his thoughts on Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.
The 59-year-old believes that the Senegal international is "the most unpredictable" forward that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has at his disposal.
Cascarino was implying that Mane is very hot and cold when it comes to his performance levels.
Cascarino told talkSPORT (17/10/21 at 7:15am) the following: “He is the most unpredictable of the three. I think they all compliment each other. [Mohamed] Salah is direct, always gets chances, always wants to run behind, cause havoc and incredible work ethic.
“Mane does that, but he does it in a more unpredictable way, where he literally has bad games. He will have stinkers sometimes. His finishing will be off the mark, then he will be fantastic.
“Then you have [Roberto] Firmino, who sets up the play up all the time, so they all compliment each other."
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Liverpool signed Mane from Southampton for a transfer fee of €41.20 million. All we will say is that the forward has proven to be worth every penny.
Mane has found the back of the net 103 times and registered 43 assists in 228 appearances for the club's first-team.
The 29-year-old also possesses a current market value of €85 million, which highlights that he has improved since arriving at Anfield.
In terms of Cascarino's comments, he is correct. There are days when Mane is exceptional, and there are days when he is nowhere near his best.
But, the aforementioned figures highlight that the Senegal international has delivered more times than not for Liverpool Football Club.
