"That’s it" - Jurgen Klopp provides an update on Mohamed Salah's future
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has provided an update on Mohamed Salah's future.
The winger's contract at Anfield expires in the summer of 2023. The club and Salah have been discussing new terms.
However, both parties are yet to agree on a new deal. But, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has recently confirmed that the conversations between the club and Salah are progressing nicely.
As quoted by LFC Transfer Room's Twitter account, Klopp told Sky Sports the following: “We are having really good conversations. That’s it. And I couldn’t care less when it will happen. I want it to happen, but when? I couldn’t care less. We are having good conversations. That’s it.”ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Liverpool signed Salah from Roma for a transfer fee of €42 million back in the summer of 2017.
Since then, the winger has scored 147 goals and registered 56 assists in 227 appearances for the club's first-team.
The aforementioned figures highlight that the Egyptian international is a world-class player. Players like Salah don't come around everyday.
Also, the forward is only 29 years of age, which highlights that his career is far from finished.
Therefore, hopefully the Reds and Salah can reach new terms sooner rather than later. But, only time will tell if that is to be the case.
