Pundit Danny Murphy would love to see Liverpool sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the England international in recent times.

Bellingham is a serious talent. The 19-year-old has scored 12 goals and registered 19 assists in 97 appearances for Borussia Dortmund's first-team.

Bellingham also averaged a WhoScored player rating of 7.12 across the 2021-22 Bundesliga campaign.

With that being the case, Murphy would love to see Liverpool make a move for the midfielder.

“That would be a hell of a signing, yeah. It would change the dynamic of the midfield, in terms of he’s an attacking goalscoring midfielder,” he told talkSPORT, as quoted by TBR Football.

“He’s a super player, some of the attributes he’s got for such a young man. I liked his celebration when he scored last night as if to say ‘here I am, look at me’.”

Bellingham is contracted until the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign. He possesses a current market value of £72 million.

Anfield Watch Verdict

As we have pointed out, Bellingham is a serious talent. Therefore, we would love to see Liverpool make a move for the midfielder in the near future.

The Reds do possess an ageing midfield. Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara are both in their 30s.

So, Bellingham would be someone that could rejuvenate Liverpool's midfield. The 19-year-old could play in the middle of the park for the Reds for at least a decade.

Hopefully Liverpool make a move for Bellingham in the near future.
