Stefan Bajcetic has stunned Liverpool supporters after an impressive photo of him in training has emerged.

The young Spaniard has missed all but two games for the Reds so far this season and hasn't featured since September as he continues his recovery from injury.

After a remarkable breakout season in difficult circumstances last year, Bajcetic's body has paid the price for the unexpected workload placed upon the 19-year-old.

Liverpool fans have been left wondering where the teenager is given the vagueness of injury updates, but supporters did receive some positive news before the international break.

Speaking prior to Liverpool's 4-3 defeat to Manchester United, Jurgen Klopp stated that Bajcetic would likely be back in team training after the March international period.

"Stefan is now pretty much in his pre-season to make him physically ready," said the Liverpool boss. "At the moment, if he feels something it's not injury, it's intensity.

"He's a young lad, so we have to make sure that we don't use him before he's really ready because what happened before was that the body was not 100 per cent ready for the intensity that professional football is asking for.

"He's in a much better place now, it's been a really long time unfortunately to improve that. But he's in his pre-season and I think he will be part of team training as well after the international break."

HOW HAS STEFAN BAJCETIC IMPRESSED LIVERPOOL SUPPORTERS?

Bajcetic has clearly been using his time on the sidelines to build up some muscle, with an astonishing picture of his calves having emerged online.

The starlet shows some incredible lower leg definition as he strikes to ball in one specific photo (above), with the Spain youth international having evidently used his time out of action to improve his physique.

Even former Red Xherdan Shaqiri would be proud of Bajcetic's calves, with the former Celta Vigo academy player now looking more physically prepared for the challenges of English football.

Liverpool will be eager not to rush Bajcetic back into the first team when he makes a full recovery, but he could be a useful option in the closing weeks of the season.
