Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has praised Reds forward Mohamed Salah for his performance against Rangers at the Ibrox Stadium last night.

The Egyptian international did not start against the Glasgow-based side. But, he came on during the second half of the Champions League group stage fixture and scored a hat-trick.

Post-game, Klopp said Salah's display was "special". The German also touched on the team's performance.

He told Liverpoolfc.com the following: "Special. Typical Mo. Very important, the whole thing.

"How the boys adapted to it, to the positions, to the line-up, the reaction of the boys on the pitch. I thought everybody who started tonight played really well.

"I cannot think of one player who didn’t have a good game; the two kids of the right and left wing, really good, Fabio (Carvalho) and Harvey (Elliott).

"And then when you can change like we changed tonight, if you can do that, the boys come on and are ready to contribute and things like this can happen.

"It’s a freak result and we all know that and we don’t make more of it than we should, but obviously it is the best we could have asked for and that is why I am pretty pleased."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Salah was electric against Rangers. The winger also registered a WhoScored player rating of 9.32 for his 22-minute performance against the Scottish Premiership team.

Salah has scored eight goals and registered four assists in 13 appearances for Liverpool this season. The aforementioned figures highlight that the Egyptian international has been performing reasonably well in recent times despite not being at his best.

Hopefully Salah can propel the Reds towards a trophy this campaign. There is nothing better than seeing your team compete for major silverware.

We wish the Reds all the best for the remainder of the campaign.
