Spanish media make RIDICULOUS Trent Alexander-Arnold claim
By all accounts Trent Alexander-Arnold will be leaving Liverpool and joining Real Madrid.
It's a devastating blow to the Reds. He has come through the academy ranks and has become one of the best players in his position in world football.

Alexander-Arnold is a generational talent. Someone who has the potential to become one of the best right-backs to have ever played the game.
Losing him to the club's arch rivals is going to leave a sour taste in most of our mouths. This absolutely feels like treachery from a boyhood fan of the club to whom Liverpool gave everything.
Without Liverpool none of this would have been possible for Alexander-Arnold and the fact that the club will now not getting a penny back for him is going to be very disappointing.

Many have blamed FSG, Liverpool's boardroom and people within the club for Alexander-Arnold's departure but this is wrong.
Mundo Deportivo have made an outrageous claim
A Spanish report by Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Alexander-Arnold was not happy with the offer Liverpool made to him and that forced his decision to join Real Madrid.
Now this is absolutely wrong. Anfield Watch understands Liverpool had offered him a massive pay rise. TBR Football has reported that the club were even willing to make him one of the highest paid English players in the Premier League.
That's an offer that should have encouraged Alexander-Arnold to put his signature on a new deal. There is no way on earth he will have been unhappy with the terms Liverpool made to him.
The reality is that Alexander-Arnold wanted to leave Liverpool. The Reds did everything in their power and gave him a more than satisfactory offer that would have been entirely acceptable for Alexander-Arnold.
But he wants a new challenge. The allure of Real Madrid has again become too strong for the right-back to resist.
Alexander-Arnold will now follow in the footsteps of other Liverpool academy graduates like Michael Owen and Steve McManaman, who were both seduced by the Galacticos.
Their fate should have been a cautionary tale for Alexander-Arnold. Neither were enormously successful at Real Madrid and their reputations around Anfield is tainted.

Both Owen and McManaman could have become Liverpool legends. The same applied to Alexander-Arnold. But moving to Real Madrid will prevent him from staking a claim for that honour.
