Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann would be interested in managing Liverpool one day, according to Sky Sports, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account.

The report states that the 34-year-old would only swap Bayern Munich for a stable Premier League club.

With that being the case, Nagelsmann would be open to the idea of joining either Liverpool or Manchester City when their respective managers (Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola) eventually depart.

Klopp's contract expires in the summer of 2024.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Klopp has been a world-class manager for Liverpool. The German has won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Premier League title and League Cup with the Reds.

But, we do understand that all good things do come to an end. Therefore, it is only natural that people are starting to talk about Klopp's replacement.

However, as things stand, Nagelsmann is not the man that we would want to see the club employ post-Klopp.

The German, who certainly knows a thing or two about management, is a big fan of the Bayern Munich boss.

As quoted by talkSPORT, Klopp said the following about Nagelsmann back in August 2017: “He’s a big, big coaching talent. We don’t know each other very well but I’ve followed his way because I like good football.

“He’s not the only one but he’s a good example of a lot of really good young managers in Germany.”

Despite that being the case, Nagelsmann is still very new to management. He has only been a senior manager since 2016 (Hoffenheim, RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich).

Also, Nagelsmann has only won one major trophy as a first-team manager. As far as we are concerned, the Reds should be hiring a proven coach when Klopp departs.

Liverpool are a huge club, so they should not be signing a manager that is learning on the job. Nagelsmann would have to achieve a lot in the near future if he is to replace Klopp in our opinion.
