Here are our Liverpool player ratings after the Reds beat Sheffield United 2-0 in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Liverpool saw off Sheffield United with a hard-fought 2-0 win at Bramall Lane in the Premier League on Wednesday. It was far from the perfect performance but the Reds got the job done.

Here's how the individuals did.

Caoimhín Kelleher - 6

One good save in the first half but otherwise didn't really have to do anything. Still, an improvement on last time.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 7

Has to get credit for a cracking delivery that created the first goal. Had some sloppy moments in defence but was a difference-maker regardless.

Ibrahima Konaté - 7

Mostly great, some bad. Konaté was dominant here, winning a massive 14 aerials and five tackles. Fantastic. But he also got lucky in the second half after a very poor error, while his passing was pretty erratic. Overall, good but with room for improvement.

Virgil van Dijk - 9

Didn't put a foot wrong when every other defender did. This was Van Dijk approaching his very best - and that's before you consider his goal.

Joe Gomez - 4

Not a good game and he was very fortunate not to cost Liverpool in the first half with an ill-advised take-on attempt around the halfway line. Deserves some slack because he was at left-back but not his best.

Wataru Endo - 7

Solid from Endo, without being spectacular. He looks more and more a useful member of the squad with each passing game.

Alexis Mac Allister - 6

Not a bad performance by any means, and he was unfortunate not to score another from range. Of course, he was even more unfortunate to suffer an early injury that left him short until finally going off before the hour mark.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 8

Szoboszlai was good on the ball and pressed well, covered well - basically a game where he did all of the basics to a high standard. Deserved his goal at the end to wrap things up. Fantastic finish, too.

Mohamed Salah - 5

One of Salah's worst games of the season, if not the worst. Good energy and running but nothing came off for him at all. Struggled a bit with the number of defenders he was up against.

Cody Gakpo - 5

Rarely threatened and couldn't get the ball into dangerous areas. A difficult game, admittedly, as he was absolutely surrounded by defenders in this one.

Luis Díaz - 6

Bright at times and did trouble the Blades with his dribbling. Created one good chance for Salah but nothing came of it.

Subs

Curtis Jones - 6

Decent when he came on and was unfortunate he couldn't make better contact with one effort on goal.

Darwin Nunez - 7

Liverpool were more dangerous once he came on. Probably should have scored one and a fantastic run nearly got Harvey Elliott in. Forced the goal at the end with a brilliant tackle and a perfect cross.

Harvey Elliott - 6

Didn't get up to all that much once he was on but was tidy enough.

Ryan Gravenberch - N/A

Didn't really have time to do anything.
