Seven things you MISSED in Liverpool's 2-2 draw vs Arsenal
Liverpool went a goal down twice in the first-half, with a Virgil van Dijk equaliser sandwiched between the two Arsenal goals.
The Reds looked more solid in the second half and were able to get level again when Darwin Nunez assisted Mo Salah in the 81st minute.
The draw means that Liverpool move to second in the Premier League, a point behind Manchester City.

Virgil van Dijk captains Liverpool for the 100th time
Liverpool’s club captain led the Reds out for the 100th time in Sunday’s match against title rivals Arsenal.
The skipper had played every minute of Liverpool’s Premier League campaign going into the match and that run continued.
Although Van Dijk is out of contract at the end of the season, his performances on the pitch have remained professional and under his leadership Liverpool have only conceded five goals in their opening nine Premier League matches.
There was some controversy surrounding a tussle between Virgil and Havertz early in the first-half but the Dutchman escaped any punishment and topped off his performance with the first equaliser for Liverpool.
Gravenberch makes his 50th Liverpool appearance
The arrival of Arne Slot at Anfield marked a new era for the Reds but it also represented a fresh start for Ryan Gravenberch, who has become a key player for Liverpool this season.
The 22-year-old has become a crucial part of Slot’s first-team and made his 50th appearance for the Reds in Sunday’s game against Arsenal.
Gravenberch has received heaps of praise for his performances this season and could potentially be the answer to Liverpool's problems in the holding midfield position.
The former Bayern Munich and Ajax midfielder has already played over half the amount of minutes he managed for Liverpool last season and currently looks well worth the well worth the €40 million Jurgen Klopp paid for him in 2023.
Liverpool concede multiple goals for the first time under Slot
The Reds have looked impressive defensively under new head coach Arne Slot and, up until Sunday’s game against Arsenal, Liverpool hadn’t conceded more than one goal in a game under the Dutchman.
In their first 12 games in all competitions Liverpool only conceded five goals and it took title contenders Arsenal for the team to concede more than once in a game.
As both of Arsenal’s goals came in the first-half it is also the first time Liverpool have conceded two goals in a half this season too.
Liverpool’s defence looked uncharacteristically shaky in the first half and Slot will have been disappointed with the two goals that his side conceded.
Slot’s side still boast the best goal difference in the league but the Reds boss will be hoping for a more solid defensive effort next time around.
Diaz escapes a yellow for kicking the ball away
Just before the 20-minute mark Luis Diaz enraged Arsenal fans by escaping any punishment despite kicking the ball away following the Gunners being awarded a free-kick.
The Colombian was out of sight of referee Anthony Taylor when the incident took place and Arsenal fans were left irate that he escaped a booking, particularly as Declan Rice was sent-off for a similar offence earlier in the season.
Diaz came close to equalising for Liverpool in the second half but quick reactions from David Raya at his near post thwarted the Reds' no.7’s attempt.
The winger wasn’t booked in the match so there wouldn’t have been any long-lasting repercussions for the initial booking anyway, but this didn’t stop Arsenal fans anger.
Liverpool set disappointing record
During the first half against Arsenal, in which Liverpool conceded twice, the Reds managed to equal their season high for fouls committed in their defensive third.
This shows the pressure that Arsenal were able to put on Slot’s defence and the Gunners were able to capitalise when they took the lead for the second time after Mikel Merino headed in a Declan Rice free-kick.
The pair came close to scoring earlier in the half too, but Merino put the ball wide.
Liverpool will have to be more disciplined when defending and Slot will surely be drilling this into his players in the coming weeks.
Nunez assists Salah AGAIN
When Darwin Nunez assisted Mo Salah’s equaliser in the 81st minute he once again proved just how much chemistry the pair have on the pitch.
It was the 11th time that the Uruguayan has assisted Salah and only Sadio Mane, with 12, and Roberto Firmino, with 21, have assisted the Egyptian King more for Liverpool.
The pair are becoming quite the duo and Nunez returned the favour to Salah, who assisted the striker's game winning goal against RB Leipzig in the Reds' previous match.
Nunez could now be set for a proper stint in Liverpool’s starting XI following an injury to Diogo Jota and his assist for Salah will have him in good standing with Slot and the Anfield faithful.
Liverpool score for the first time in the final 15 minutes
Although the Reds have been very impressive so far under new head coach under Arne Slot, the final 15 minutes of games has been a very quiet period for the side.
Before Sunday’s clash, Liverpool had not scored or conceded in the final 15 minutes of a game this season.
That stat changed when Nunez assisted Salah in the 81st minute and the Reds proved that they do indeed have what it takes to impact games late on.
The goal was crucial and earned Liverpool a point on the road against title rivals, a point that could be crucial come the end of the season.
